Sketch Crawl Cleveland Museum ot Art 3/12/2011

It is always a pleasure to sketch at the Cleveland Museum of Art.  Today was the standard cold and overcast day typical of March in Cleveland.  The Cleveland Sketch Crawlers met at the Museum and focused on the African artwork then wandered around other points of interest.  You can find our work at clevelandsketchcrawl.blogspot.com

Burlesque Dancers

I went to sketch at a Burlesque show where the girls were actually modeling. I won a prize for the best one minute non-dominant hand sketch. My prize was a pair of fishnet stockings......oh Lord! The sketch above was a 10 minute sketch and I won a t-shirt. Must have been my lucky day.

The colors of Egypt

"
And now my friends, catch your spirit, catch your soul were the words used by Wahid, our guide, to describe each wonder of Egypt. I find myself wandering back to this moment on the Nile when the sun was setting in the Valley of the Kings and the colors of Egypt were alive.
